The sophomore release by arguably CBC’s most baffling project is another rickety scrum full of defective sound gear, violated housewares, and a sense of exhausted perseverance in the face of both the terrifying moment we find the world in, and the sense of complacent helplessness many experience while watching seemingly everything fall apart.

Consider it an attempt to create a sound representative of the misplaced sense of guilt in finding a stability you worked your whole fucking life to achieve, while also reconciling that you have scabies, your house is rapidly filling with smoke, and you for some reason can’t (or don’t anyway) bother to maintain even the barest standards of personal care necessary to exist as an ordinary person in the world (which is probably why you have scabies).

A quick word from the man himself: “These tracks were built on top of foundations created early in 2020 shortly after I started getting ‘serious’ about creating noise. Returning to a place of inexperience and naivety was weirdly comforting and helped me shift my mindset from the shitshow that is 2025 to a simpler time when 3,000 people a day were dying from a horrific disease and no one really seemed to care.”

Recommended for fans of half empty balloons, spinning quarters, cluttered coffee tables, and staying in bed all goddamn day.
